Lets fix some issues here.

I really enjoy SoundCloud as an artist. However, there are some HUGE problems that could (in my opinion) be easily fixed to make the experience better for all individuals that use this app:

1.) Update your notification system. Theres no need for people to get 1/10 (or sometimes worse) of their notifications through the app, when your first step is to turn notifications on! SoundCloud gives artists and listeners the chance to communicate, and if the app is not delivering messages to the artist or vice verse, there is a need for a new app to take its place.
2.) Why arent metrics visible within the app? To see how many people have commented on a track, who exactly has reposted a track, etc. is extremely important for artists to see to keep an eye on their growing fan base.
3.) How tailored are the ads to free users? I seem to see a lot of complaints that ads are way too frequent and repetitive to enjoy the app. Even YouTube which now offers a premium streaming service allows their customers to have ads that are more tailored to what they would want to see or hear. Once SoundCloud does the same, there could be a growth in potential returning users who were not pleased with the previous ad service.
