Disappearing tracks

I really love SoundCloud but this really grinds my gears when I cant find a track that I used to have in a playlist suddenly disappears and suddenly one day I notice that this one song is gone and I cant even remember what the name of the song or artist is. But if I do happen to know what the artist name is. I go to their account and find that that one song I used to like is no longer there. Then I come to conclusions that the artist deleted that song. Okay, so they deleted the song? I understand its their right to pull a song off the shelf if they dont want people to be able to listen to it any longer. And I know that SoundCloud has no control over what an artist decides to delete. But the one thing it does have control to do is at least leave the original track and thumbnail for users to see. So that at least I will be able to see the name of the track and then SoundCloud can just simply make it a transparent icon with a description that the track is no longer available. That would be almost equivalent to songs that I used to be able to listen to and then the artist and tracks are there but they simply will show a message of unable to play because the song is not available in your region of the world. I couldnt believe that when I first saw that. But at least I could still see one of my favorite artists were still out there and had not just completely disappeared off the face of the earth. Its bad enough that I cant own rights to the songs that I like.

If SoundCloud can do this simple change, I will boost your score back up again which is usually a 10 out of 10. And I can continue to dish out $13 per month for the SoundCloud Go offline listening subscription without having second thoughts of canceling my subscription. Its the one downside of SoundCloud is when you dont own rights to the songs if youre a DJ or a video editor.
